Albert King – Cadillac Assembly Line

Sunday Jazz Continues..checking out some jazz / blues from Albert King talking about he was leaving Mississippi to go to Detroit and get a job on the Cadillac Assembly Line.

This song came out in 1976..when there was a great migration to the North from the South for manufacturing jobs in the auto plants, steel plants , rubber plants etc in Detroit, Cleveland, Akron, Pittsburgh etc.

Fast forward to 2014..not many manufacturing jobs left in those cities / America ... Detroit is bankrupt

....one of my earlier posts from Moodymann  let you know about the current vibe in Detroit.

But back to the music!! Check out this fine historical track from Mr Albert King.
