Jackie McLean Doctor Jackyll and Mister Funk 12" disco Mix
Sunday Jazz Continues...getting into a little jazz / disco / funk from none other than traditional / classic jazz alto saxophonist Jackie McLean with a number called Doctor Jackyll and Mister Funk...the 12" disco Mix.
This is from his Monuments album from RCA. Mr. McLean had been in the jazz game since the 1950's. When this track came out in 1979 jazz was being fused with everything from rock to soul music to disco. This is a rare groove. Check It Out.
