A $2,000 reward is being offered after a 16-year-old boy was shot and killed at a George Clinton concert Saturday night.
Police say Sylvonte Williams was killed, three others were injured and they are still searching for the suspect.
Sunday afternoon city leaders held a press conference addressing the shootings and stressing the importance of finding the suspect.
According to police, just before 10 p.m., police responded to Martin Luther King Boulevard and Reservoir Palace for shots fired. A large fight broke out after a concert featuring George Clinton at Luke Easter Park’s “Family Unity in the Park” event, according to police. During the fight, an unknown male produced a handgun and fired several shots in the crowd, police said. The other victims were 20-year old Marquis Davis, 14-year-old Jeremiah Wilson and 22-year old Termaine Hatcher. None of their injuries were fatal and they are currently recovering at MetroHealth Medical Center.
